Project 'National dermatological observatory for adverse reactions from chemical substances present in supply chains and in textile and leather articles'

The project served to carry out preparatory activities for the activation of a national observatory to evaluate the prevalence of allergic (DAC) and irritative (DIC) contact dermatitis, caused by chemical substances present in the production chains and in the products textiles and leather.

This project aimed to carry forward the activities carried out by Tessile e Salute and its partners (ISPESL, SIDAPA, ISS, CNR-STIIMA, JRC) between the years 2006-2010.

The project concluded with the following results:

- Update of SIDAPA textile list

- Finding and analysis of the most critical haptens

- Development of an operational protocol for dermatology clinics
