In the context of security, the latest projects are:
“Activities aimed at strengthening skills in research, prevention and management of risk factors in skin diseases resulting from contact of textiles with skin . Part One.” Year: 2010-2011
Annual project, funded by the ‘regional office for the presentation and finance projects of health promotion and health education of general interest and not already included in other programming guidelines’.
“Activities aimed at strengthening skills in research, prevention and management of risk factors in skin diseases resulting from contact of textiles with skin – Part Two.” Year: 2011-2012
Project funded by the Foundation Monte dei Paschi di Siena, with the aim of creating a network of consumer protection, which funds its roots in the research and protection of public health, in order to ensure the placing on the market of safe products.
In the field of applied research, since 2005 the Associazione Tessile e Salute has been a partner, along with the Politecnico di Torino (section Biella), the CNR ISMAC Biella, the I.T.I.S. of Biella and the Fondo Edo Tempia, of 2 three-year projects, funded by Piedmont Region: the LATT project, the creation of a Laboratory of High TextileTechnology and the Hitex project for the implementation of a laboratory for a research on several fronts.
For these projects, the Association has collaborated with Politecnico di Torino for the development of an innovative methodology for the study of the thermo-physiological comfort, based on three main levels:
- physical tests on materials
- evaluation of the interaction of textile materials with human physiology
- usage tests on volunteers
Textile Innovation Group
To enhance research opportunities, the Associazione Tessile e Salute has joined the Textile Innovation Group. PO.IN.TEX based such as also the Association , by the Città Studi SpA (managing authority).
Founded in 2009, Po.IN.TEX – the Textile Innovation Group , is an association of businesses (micro, small, medium and large), consortia and research organizations with the purpose of promoting industrial competitiveness through the cooperative innovation.
In June 2013 IRTEX, a two-year project funded under the Innovation Group, ended. Here the Associazione Tessile e Salute participated as a sub-contractor of the Polytechnic of Turin.
The project was about the evaluation of innovative finishings for the safety of the person, to be used in the traditional and sport textile field.
